Abstract

Pedagogical letters make a significant contribution to establishing a rigorous, loving and committed dialog between the sender and the recipient. From this point of view, this study aims to analyze writings from a literature review on Paulo Freire's pedagogical letters and their contributions to the establishment of dialogue, in order to learn about discussions on the subject over the last decade. The methodology adopted is a literature review of the studies found in the following databases: Google Scholar, Scielo and Portal de Periódico da Capes. It was concluded that academic production on pedagogical letters has increased over the last decade, especially those dealing with experiences using letters in social projects or in the classroom. In addition, studies in the pedagogical letter format are gaining ground in academia and fighting against the primacy of traditional academic writing.
