Abstract

The teaching-learning process has undergone countless transformations over the years. For a long time, the teacher was seen as the main person responsible for transmitting knowledge to the student, but this understanding is proving to be increasingly outdated and outdated, because it has been discovered that true knowledge is only built through the active participation of the student in the process of forming their knowledge. Given these premises, different teaching methods have been created, which are classified as active methodologies, with the aim of facilitating the teaching-learning process for students. Among these methods, there is the so-called "gamification" which, in simple terms, can be understood as the use of common resources from the world of games, applied to pedagogical didactics in order to make understanding the material more enjoyable and practical. In this vein, this research is opportune since its general objective is to analyze the application of the gamification method as a contribution to legal education. To carry out this research, we adopted the monographic method and the techniques of bibliographical research, documentation and a quantitative approach based on a single case study. An online questionnaire was applied to the students of an environmental law subject in the law course using google forms. At the end of the study, it can be seen that the application of gamification in the view of the students themselves favors the educational process and learning in various aspects, both in terms of understanding and assimilation of content and also because it makes teaching more dynamic and enjoyable.
