Abstract

This study is a experience report that aims to describe the actions of the student in the CAPOUFRJ Extension Project – Capoeira at the University, with the procedures adopted and challenges experienced during the program, as well as the impact on her academic, personal and professional life. As a methodology, the narrative of theoretical-practical experiences was adopted that related the educational objectives of Capoeira and the University, with description and analysis of the procedures. As for the results, the student's first contact with Capoeira occurred when she entered the Physical Education graduation course at EEFD-UFRJ, transforming her understanding of this manifestation. Overcoming this old perception of practice linked to violence, currently the extensionist student permeates the Teaching, Research and Extension base, motivated by the broad participation in the project.

Bruna da Silva Santos Martins, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro

Graduate student in Physical Education at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in Bachelor of Business Administration from Faculdade Internacional Signorelli (2022). She has experience in the area of ​​Administration with emphasis on project management. Extensionist  student of the CAPOUFRJ Project - Capoeira at the University, member of Research Gorup LABCAPO - Capoeira Laboratory, volunteer of the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program
