Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the challenges presented by teachers who work with students with disabilities in the implementation of inclusive education, based on their experiences. The research was developed in an institution in Santa Catarina, with eight participating teachers. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview, specifically seeking to emphasize the look of these teachers in order to better understand inclusive education and its challenges. Through the interviews, the teachers present some challenges that hinder the implementation of inclusion and contribute to their not feeling prepared to act in an inclusive way. The reports showed that school inclusion is still a challenge that needs to be faced by everyone, because despite the achievements, much still needs to be done so that what is proposed by law is what happens at school every day.
