Adolescent girls in conflict with the law: gender, experiences and counter-conducts in the context of infractions (Florianópolis 1999-2001)

This article sought to analyze the infractions committed by adolescent girls in conflict with the law in the city of Florianópolis - SC, from the end of the 90's to the beginning of the 2000's. -juvenile began to be recognized as subjects of rights, from the 90s, which would change the conception of childhood and adolescence, understanding that it needed to be safeguarded and protected, even those who were in the condition of offenders. For this undertaking of analysis, two lawsuits referring to infractions in the District of Florianópolis (SC) were selected as a source of research. The main objective of this work is to try to present a youthful perspective, giving voice to the strategies and experiences lived by the girls. In addition, an analysis will be done using three main concepts, two of them Foucauldian, power-knowledge and counter-conduct and the third of gender. Concepts will be mobilized to reflect on the decisions of justice operators and the counter-conducts used by girls in the face of their processes of infractions and a legal system within the world of adults.
