Abstract

Breast cancer has a wide morphological and molecular variation, being a malignant and heterogeneous disease1. It represents the most common neoplasm in Brazil among females, excluding non-melanoma skin cancer1,2. In males, it represents 1% of the total number of cases of the disease2. P.P.S., 56 years old, male, arrived at the mastology service due to a skin biopsy report from the right breast, which showed an undifferentiated malignant neoplasm, infiltrating the epidermis and dermis, with an area of ulceration and free margins. Immunohistochemistry was suggestive of breast cancer invasive of the dermis and epidermis and was ER (Estrogen Receptor) positive. On physical examination, thickening was identified in the region of the nipple-areolar complex in the right breast. The management included the initiation of TMX (tamoxifen) and referral for MMG (Mammogram), which had a normal result. On USG (Ultrasonography) retroareolar thickening of the right breast was detected. Given changes in the imaging examination, FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration) was performed on the lesion, detecting a Grade 2 ICD (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). modified radical mastectomy scheduled. Postoperative staging of the lesion confirmed pT4bpN1aM0 tumor and associated Paget's disease. Thus, the report presents an unusual CA in men, making it necessary to know the disease for adequate care and safe and effective management.
