This article analyzes the Brazilian Tax Reform (Complementary Law No. 214/2025), focusing on the Selective Tax and ultra-processed foods. Drawing on Economic Sociology, it examines taxation as a regulatory tool shaped by power relations. Using qualitative bibliographic and documentary analysis, the study finds that excluding ultra-processed foods from taxation favors agribusiness and the food industry, weakening food justice and the Human Right to Adequate Food.
